FES ROYAL WEDDING

This painting captures a vivid memory from my childhood, when I witnessed the marriage of the King of Morocco to a striking red-haired woman who was not of royal lineage, but rather from the people.

The wedding was a grand celebration that stretched on for days, full of splendor and tradition. Yet, beneath the surface of this majestic occasion, I found myself questioning the deeper story: Did she truly want this life, or was it a path chosen for her? The image of her beauty and grace is interwoven with my own feelings of conflict and uncertainty, as I reflect on the balance between power, choice, and destiny.

This painting stands as a visual exploration of those emotions, juxtaposing the regal and the personal, the seen and the unseen.
